"A trauma-informed community would be a place where folks understand initially that there are reasons behind behaviors; things do not happen at random. And that they understand that most of the issues if not all of the issues that we face as a community and in our lives are directly related to trauma and have that understanding that it is not about random acts of violence or it is not about things just happening out of the blue for no reason but there are reasons behind that."
